THIRTEENTONES IS THE INDEPENDENT DESIGN STUDIO OF CREATIVE DIRECTOR / DESIGNER SHAWN THOMAS LEBOUTILLIER.
I grew up playing with sticks in the woods of Maine. The outdoors mean a lot to me, and I was lucky to grow up doing a ton of camping, hiking, Mtn biking, skiing & snowboarding with my family. My parents threw some skiis on my feet when I was barely old enough to walk. A few years later, my cousin showed me Mack Dog Film’s “The Resistance” and I’ve had an unhealthy obsession with snowboarding ever since.
From the beginning I’ve always felt the need to create. For a while I thought I might grow up to be an architect. I filled my sketchbooks with castles, dream homes and floor plans. A pile of legos would keep me occupied endlessly.
Through high school I focused on making art and videos while playing music and competing in snowboard contests around New England. While still in school, I created my own T-shirt company involved in the live music scene around southern ME and NH.
FROM EARLY ON, I SAW DESIGN AS A WAY OF MERGING MY LOVE FOR ART WITH MY PASSION FOR SKATE, SNOW & ROCK & ROLL.
I was Inspired by snowboard videos, magazines, album art, skateboard designs, and I wanted to be the artist behind them.
After studying Graphic and Interactive Communications at Ringling College of Art and Design, I was fortunate enough to start my career living out that dream of designing snowboards, building brands and launching campaigns for various outdoor companies.
MY DREAM IS TO CONTINUE WORKING FOR BRANDS I BELIEVE IN & AM INSPIRED BY.

Batman is the only superhero I can get behind. I need to go to a monster truck show. Stone Cold Steve Austin is the reason why wrestling rules. Sometimes when I’m watching a good movie my eyes get all watery like I’m gonna cry, but then I don’t because I’m TOUGH. I’m a sucker for craft mac and cheese. I own a bust of king tut...
